The Rand Easter Show (RES) 2015 took place from 25 March – 03 April 2016 at Nasrec Expo Centre. One of the categories for this year’s show was to showcase South African Science and Technology.

Visitors at the Science and Technology site were provided with the opportunity to browse through the different exhibits and view science shows such as the Naked Scientist.

The South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA) invited the following stakeholders to exhibit at the Rand Show:

  1. Council for Scientific and Industrial Research – careers in defence
  2. ArcelorMittal SC – science shows
  3. South African National Space Agency – space science presentations/ exhibition

SAASTA activities at RES included Science Shows, a mobile planetarium, interactive exhibitions, hydrogen fuel cells presentations and the Great South African Invention Exhibition.
