Career Guidance Programme

The Environmental Education and Awareness Team of the City of Tshwane in partnership with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment will be conducting a Career Guidance Programme for grade 8 & 9 learners on 16 February 2024 at Moretele Recreation Resort in Mamelodi from 09:00 to 14:00.

The objective of the career guidance programme is to assist the learners in understanding the scarce skills and in-depth understanding of different careers in the environment, history, science, technology, and engineering. The City has identified a possible imbalance in career choices done by young graduates in such a way that many graduates are challenged to find growth and opportunities within those chosen careers. If nothing is done immediately, there will be more of the same career choices and limited opportunities while opportunities for scarce careers remain in demand and unfulfilled.
