STEAM Festival 2025 Launch

We propose an innovative solution to address the decline in learners taking STEM subjects (mathematics, science, engineering, and technology) in South Africa. Our initiative, STEM Art and NWS Career Exhibition, aims to promote maths and science in a fun and engaging manner, with a special emphasis on the fusion of art in STEM. We’re excited to launch the “A” in STEAM, highlighting the importance of art in the STEAM ecosystem.

Objectives

1. Promote National Science Week through ongoing activities (from March 2025 to September 2025) by hosting series of events

2. Promote maths and science as exciting and accessible subjects

3. Showcase the intersection of art and STEM, inspiring learners to explore the creative aspects of science and maths

4. Provide a platform for organizations to showcase STEM-related opportunities and resources

5. Foster partnerships between education institutions, organizations, and government departments

6. Encourage learners to consider STEAM careers

7. Promote Science Engagement
