Star on radio and TV
Dr David Boyce Astronomy educator, Leicester, UK
My main advice is to be pushy and grab every opportunity you can. The first time I ever found my way onto local radio was during a partial eclipse when the presenter required a small comment from an astronomer. At the end of that broadcast I remember giving the presenter my details written on a piece of paper alongside the words: "If you want me to do a regular show, I am free Tuesdays" with a wry smile. That is how I got my radio show!
