Write a story
Dennis Ashton Science ambassador, planetarium presenter, broadcaster and educator, UK
A key aspect of written information to the public is to use ordinary language, avoiding the jargon, acronyms and short cuts that we use between ourselves. Also assume that the public knows little if anything about astronomy and describe ideas at a basic level before amplifying ideas. Do this without being condescending! In short: keep it simple and make sure your excitement comes through.
