Name: Ms. Innocentia Alexander
Innocentia Alexander is an Academic in Education Studies at the MANCOSA School of Education in Durban. With a Bachelor of Education degree (Cum laude), Honours in Gender Education, and a Master’s degree in Education Curriculum studies, Innocentia is a qualified teacher who has previously taught in the intermediate and senior phases at a school in the Durban region. Currently pursuing her PhD at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, her research focuses on theorising higher education transformation in the global south, student movements, issues around epistemological access, and curricula. She has presented in national and international conferences and is passionate about social justice issues in education. With a journal paper published in an educational publication, Innocentia is enthusiastic about research in education.
