Kasi Career Expo

The Kasi Career Expo aims to assist youth in the JTG district to achieve their full developmental and career potential especially given the impact of the covid 19 pandemic and the current socio-economic environment in South Africa. Furthermore, the digital divide and the widening gap between the haves and have-nots is resulting in a generation of disengaged learners who end up leaving school without the necessary skills needed for the job market. This global crisis of unprepared youth amongst other factors has significant implications for colleges, universities, and the job market.

The two-day exhibition will target approximately 3600 Grade 12 learners from all 31 schools in the JTG district and provide learners with a roadmap to a successful career through the following focus areas: career guidance & job market insights; community networks; entrepreneurship & local economic development; skills development, workforce readiness, and placement; technology and e-learning; life skills; motivation and soft skills training and development.
