Introduction of Primary Teachers Problem Solving Course (PSPSC)

The South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA), a business unit of National Research Foundation (NRF) in collaboration the South African Mathematics Foundation (SAMF) will be hosting an introduction of Primary Teachers Problem Solving Course (PSPSC) from 31 May – 02 June 2021. The aim of the workshop is to provide a hands-on online training for educators, which will expose them to a variety of problem solving strategies and techniques. It is expected that this training will enhance the Introduction of problem solving skills of educators and also improve their skills of solving Olympiad type problems. In turn, this will result in an improved appreciation for solving mathematical problems on the part of the learners.

The workshop is specifically targeting grades 4 to 7 educators who are teaching mathematics.
