The MTN ScienCentre – soon to become the Cape Town Science Centre – is making an urgent appeal for financial assistance to refurbish their new headquarters in Upper Main Road, Observatory.
The new centre will be accessible via public transport and therefore better able to serve all the communities of Cape Town. However, the building needs work before visitors can be accepted. The first phase will involve transforming a large, open warehouse space into a functioning science centre with their most popular displays. The centre’s management hopes that this phase will be complete by June next year.
Anyone who is able to assist them in their quest to continue their work and keep their doors open, can contact the manager, Julie Cleverdon, at julie@mtnsciencentre.org.za, or visit the website www.mtnsciencentre.org.za
