Melusi Innocent Malaza

Melusi Innocent Malaza was born in Nkandla, Kwa-Zulu Natal. He holds an honour’s degree in Communication Science from the University of Zululand. Melusi is a goal-getter and always strives for what he wants in life. He is a science journalist with NRF-SAASTA, hosted by 1KZN community television station, which is based in Richards Bay.
With grit and gumption for journalism as a profession, he started his career with Unizulu Press while he was still a student at the University of Zululand, where he subsequently became a Sports Editor. He has also volunteered at Independent Newspaper with the Mercury Newspaper working with some renowned journalists such as Mr Sipho Khumalo and the now Spokesperson of the Department of Transport in Kwa-Zulu Natal, Mr Kwanele Ncalane, as mentors. Melusi listens, watches and reads current affairs frequently in order to remain abreast with what is happening around the world.
He also enjoys reading inspirational books. Among the books he has read is “So Many Leaders and So Little Leadership” by John W. Stanko. Melusi is fervent about journalism and he is looking forward to developing a career within the science journalism space and share his knowledge with the viewers of 1KZN TV.
