Profile
Jillie Masemola was raised in a small township in Limpopo Province called Jane Furse. I went to Jane Furse Comprehensive School, which is where I developed most of my passion for science. I participated in a number of Science Olympiad competitions.
I currently hold a BSc in Geography and Hydrology and an honours degree in Geography from the University of Zululand.
I am an intern in Science and Youth Journalism Programme at SAASTA and one of the primary requirements of my employment is to consult with local communities and municipalities about the technologies that are being deployed in the areas around Elias Motsoaledi and Ephraim Mogale local municipalities. My main focus is on the waste water treatment technologies that are being used in the two local municipalities.
I am a dynamic and confident go-getter who works well under pressure and can easily adapt within stressful situations, especially when working to deadlines or targets. I have worked hard to progress within the environmental field, increasing my knowledge through attending workshops and by hard work.
I have ensured that I take every opportunity to help me expand my career within my chosen field. One of my key ambitions in any work task is to enhance value beyond my required job expectations and add holistically to the improvement and growth of my employer and clients.
