These fact sheets have been developed with the purpose of providing factual non-biased information and references on various topics of nanotechnology. Each fact sheet has followed a scientific editorial process and has been reviewed by an independent expert in the field of nanotechnology.
Strategies & plans
South African industry and researchers have been players in nanoscience and nanotechnology for a considerable time. New generations of nanotechnology-based products that are rapidly emerging in the world today, require that South Africa develops the ability to derive benefits from global advances in this area.

Educational manuals
Educational manuals have been developed in collaboration with Jive Media Africa, making use of a series of posters on nanotechnology in water purification, cancer treatment, mining and energy. The resources are aimed at Grade 7 to 9 learners and educators and have been successfully used in workshops with educators.
